Syllabus
Purpose of the Course: The purpose of this course is to introduce the principles of mathematics that will help students succeed in Pre Algebra and Algebra.
Objectives of Course: Upon satisfactory completion of this course, students should have a general understanding of the major principles of Pre Algebra.
Students' Responsibilities: Students will be expected to attend class on a regular basis, participate, cooperate and respect the instructor and classmates. Students will be expected to do assignments on a daily basis, maintain an organized attitude by being attentive and inquisitive toward mathematical instruction. Classroom rules are to be followed along with all School and District Policies.
Materials Recommended for this Course:
~ Regular or Mechanical Pencil
~ Lined Paper or Notebook and Graph Paper
~ Students must bring these materials to class on a daily basis
Evaluation Procedures: A test will be given after the completion of each chapter. Classroom assignments will also play a major part in determining student's grades.
Grade Distribution: All assignments will be weighed equally
Grading Scale: Students will obtain a letter grade based on their total percentage earned.
